 | Joseph P. Dowd Vice President, North American Carbon Materials and Chemicals Joseph Dowd was appointed Vice President, North American Carbon Materials and Chemicals for Koppers Inc. effective July 1, 2012. Prior to joining Koppers, Mr. Dowd was Vice President and General Manager North American Recycling for Exide Technologies, Inc., where he had full responsibility for the lead acid battery recycling business group, including operations of six plant facilities. Previous to his tenure at Exide, he was Global President and Chief Operating Officer with Silberline Manufacturing, a global supplier of specialty chemicals to a wide range of customers in automotive coatings, inks, plastics and other industrial coatings segments. He was also with BASF Corporation for sixteen years in various postions of increasing responsibility. In has last position with BASF he was Director of Manufacturing for the Dispersions and Paper Chemicals business group where he was in charge of five manufacturing sites in North America. Mr. Dowd has a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. |
